Robert Rene "Bob" Robles, Sergeant at Arms of the Arizona House of Representatives, passed away on September 7, 2017.

Robles was born January 18, 1954, in Phoenix, served in the U.S. Air Force as a fire captain from 1972-1974, and worked for the Phoenix Fire Department as a firefighter for more than 20 years.

Robles began working for the Arizona House of Representatives in 2008 as a security guard, was promoted to night security supervisor in 2012, became chief of security in 2013, and was appointed Sergeant at Arms in 2017.

Robles is survived by his wife Irene, seven children, 19 grandchildren, five sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The House of Representatives expresses condolences to Robles' family and friends and recognizes his service and respect earned throughout his public service career.
