SB 1065 Summary

• Amends section 28-6991 to add cities as recipients of state highway fund monies under cooperative agreements, in addition to counties.

• Amends section 28-6993 to specify that monies collected from commercial vehicle axle fees must be used proportionally for transportation facilities within 20 drivable miles of international ports of entry.

• Defines "transportation facility" for axle fee purposes to include highways, state routes, and county, city, or town roads used by commercial vehicles or combinations subject to axle fees.

• Applies retroactively from June 30, 2018.
