Cities and towns cannot prohibit residents from parking certain motor vehicles on streets or driveways if the vehicle is required to be available at the person's residence due to employment conditions.

Public service corporation, federally regulated utility, or municipal utility employees may park owned or operated vehicles with gross vehicle weight rating of 20,000 pounds or less that bear official emblems or designations for emergency infrastructure repair and maintenance work.

Public safety agency employees (police, fire, federal, state, local or tribal services) and ambulance service providers may park vehicles with gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or less that bear official emblems or designations.

Defines "telecommunications" as transmission of information between specified points without change in form or content, excluding commercial mobile radio services.

Legislature finds this act necessary to ensure vehicle availability for public benefit of secure and reliable telecommunications services on equivalent basis across cities and unincorporated county areas.
