Exemption applies only when the current adjacent public water distribution system or private well does not meet fire protection water or fire flow requirements.

Defines "adjacent public water distribution system" as a water system owned by a political subdivision or private water company with a distribution main and easement contiguous to the property.

Clarifies that compliance responsibility for providing fire flow under fire codes rests with the state, municipality, county, or fire district rather than the landowner.
