AZ SB1162

Establishes the silver alert notification system as a quick response system for missing persons who are 65 years of age or older or who have a developmental disability, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia.

Requires law enforcement agencies to have used all available local resources, determined the person went missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, and believed the person is in danger before requesting activation of the alert system.

Authorizes the department to issue a silver alert when there is information available that could assist in the safe recovery of the missing person and the department has been designated to use the federally authorized emergency alert system.

Requires the department to provide silver alert information to any other entity that provides similar notifications in the state.

Defines "developmental disability" as having the same meaning prescribed in section 36-551 of Arizona Revised Statutes.
