Adopts the Interstate Compact for the Temporary Licensure of Professionals, allowing member states to grant temporary licenses to eligible professionals relocating to their state.

Temporary licenses are valid for 18 months (or 24 months for military spouses) and are nonrenewable unless a member state enacts legislation to make them renewable.

Applicants must hold a valid, unrestricted license in a member state, be in good standing in all states where licensed, and pass a background check; licensing authorities must issue or deny temporary licenses within 30 days of receiving a complete application.

Member states must provide information within 10 days regarding whether applicants hold valid licenses and are in good standing, and must notify other member states of any adverse actions taken against temporary licensees.

Individual states may opt out of reciprocity for specific occupations by enacting legislation determining that another member state's licensing requirements are inadequate to protect public health and safety.
