Amends Arizona Revised Statutes sections 11-493 and 11-494 to allow county treasurers to maintain financial records in electronic format in addition to traditional books.

Changes gender-specific language in statute from "him" to "the county treasurer" and updates references from "money" to "monies" for consistency.

Authorizes county treasurers to issue receipts in either electronic or hard copy format for monies received, requiring electronic validation as alternative to manual signatures.

Modifies receipt distribution procedures to allow delivery of electronic or hard copy receipts to the person paying, the clerk of the board or designee, and county school superintendent.

Approved by the Governor on April 10, 2018, and filed with the Secretary of State the same day.
