• Appropriates $2,200,000 and 20 FTE positions from the state general fund in fiscal year 2018-2019 to the Department of Veterans' Services.

• Funds are designated for hiring veteran service officers to provide services in rural tribal nations with communities located 100 miles or more from the nearest U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs service center.

• Legislative intent directs that appropriated funds be collected from revenues derived from Indian reservations in Arizona pursuant to section 42-5029, subsection A, paragraph 3 of Arizona Revised Statutes.
