Employers must provide the pay scale for a position to applicants who request it.

The restrictions apply to all employers, including state and local government employers and the legislature.

Applicants may voluntarily disclose their salary history without prompting, and employers may consider such voluntary disclosures in determining compensation.

The law does not apply to salary information subject to public disclosure under federal or state law, and prior salary alone cannot justify compensation disparities.
