AZ SB1351

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 8-201 to modify the definition of "dependent child" in juvenile court proceedings.

Changes the age threshold for dependent child classification from "under eight years of age" to "under twelve years of age" for children who commit acts that would constitute delinquency or incorrigibility if committed by an older child.

A child under twelve years old found to have committed an act resulting in delinquent juvenile or incorrigible child adjudication can now be adjudicated as a dependent child instead.

Applies to Arizona's Department of Child Safety and juvenile court jurisdiction over children in dependency proceedings.
