Concurrent resolution expressing legislative support for violence prevention efforts in Arizona based on documented statistics showing high rates of child abuse, bullying, dating violence, sexual assault, and suicide among Arizona youth.

Endorses the "Guts to be Good" (G2BG) model developed by Peer Solutions as a framework for preventing violence through five principles: speaking up against harm, treating others with respect, being courteous, being honest, and lending a hand to those in need.

Commits the legislature to working with Arizona families, schools, businesses, and community organizations to empower youth and prevent violence before it occurs.

Recognizes that child abuse rates in Arizona increased 59.6% from 2009 to 2010, and cites 2012 data showing 60.8% of eighth graders witnessed violence and 39.9% reported being bullied.

States that Arizona's 2011 suicide consideration rate of 18.7% among high school students was the highest in the nation.
