AZ SCR1020

Proposes an amendment to Article XI, Section 8 of the Arizona Constitution relating to the permanent state school fund.

Corrects punctuation in the constitutional text by replacing semicolons with commas in subsection A describing sources of the school fund (from sale of public lands, escheat estates, unclaimed corporate shares and dividends, and gifts/bequests).

Removes a comma after "other funds as may be provided by law" in subsection B regarding apportionment of rental income from school lands.

Maintains all substantive provisions regarding the use of school fund revenues for common and high school education in Arizona.

Requires submission of the proposition to voters at the next general election per Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
