Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 8-305 to restrict detention of juveniles charged with offenses listed in section 13-501 to only those offenses that are NOT dangerous offenses.

Juveniles charged with dangerous offenses listed in section 13-501 are no longer eligible for detention in juvenile detention centers and must be detained in adult facilities instead.

Maintains existing requirements that juveniles detained in adult facilities must be kept physically separate from adults with sight and sound contact prohibited.

Adds definition of "dangerous offense" to the statute, referencing section 13-105 for the specific meaning.

Requires courts considering detention of non-dangerous offense juveniles to evaluate the best interests of the juvenile and other detained juveniles, severity of charges, and available programs at both facilities.
