• The Department of Education shall contract with a provider through a request for proposals to offer an online test preparation system for high school students taking college admissions tests in language arts, mathematics, and science.

• The system must allow self-paced independent student access, provide study materials, diagnostic exams, practice tests, and electronically report progress to administrators, teachers, parents, and facilitators through an online dashboard.

• The system shall include training and professional development for school district and charter school personnel on how to use the platform and provide teacher-assisted instruction to students.

• School districts and charter schools must encourage use of the system and inform parents and students of its availability to be eligible to administer college admissions tests funded by the state.

• The bill appropriates $500,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2019-2020 to the Department of Education to implement the online test preparation system, with availability to students beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.
