AZ HB2120

Adds chiropractic services as a covered health and medical service under the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), requiring services to be performed by a licensed chiropractor and ordered by a primary care physician or primary care practitioner.

Prohibits use of monies from the hospital assessment fund to pay for chiropractic services under AHCCCS.

Requires the AHCCCS administration to establish qualifying conditions, provider qualifications, and require contractors to report on chiropractic service usage and cost savings compared to alternative treatments.

Mandates submission of a cost savings report to the governor, president of the senate, and speaker of the house of representatives by January 1, 2023.

Repeals the chiropractic coverage provision effective June 30, 2023, unless legislative action extends it.
