Amends Arizona election law regarding residency requirements for legislative candidates, requiring one year of residency in the legislative district before the election date with physical domicile for at least 75 percent of that period.

Allows days spent on active or reserve military duty and days required by occupation or employment to travel outside Arizona to count toward the 75 percent residency requirement for legislative candidates.

Permits legislative candidates whose district lines changed after redistricting to aggregate residence time in their previous district with time in their new district if their residence is within ten miles of the previous district boundary.

Establishes that temporary domicile in Maricopa County for legislators whose districts are outside Maricopa County counts toward the required 75 percent residency period.

Updates statutory language throughout sections 16-124, 16-311, and 16-341 for gender-neutral and modern phrasing.
