AZ HB2279

Amends Arizona law regarding motor vehicle dealer licensing by adding education and training requirements for used motor vehicle dealers and wholesale motor vehicle dealers seeking initial or renewal licenses.

Authorizes the director to establish education and training programs and contract with private entities to provide these programs, which may charge fees to participants.

Requires any private entity contracting to provide education and training to be a nonprofit organization that has existed for more than one year and has a majority of members who are licensed used or wholesale motor vehicle dealers in Arizona.

Private entities providing education and training must meet suitability requirements prescribed by the director.
