Reduces the timeframe for consumer reporting agencies to place a security freeze on a consumer's credit report from ten business days to forty-eight hours after receiving a written request.

Requires consumer reporting agencies to remove or temporarily lift a security freeze within fifteen minutes when requested by telephone, internet, or other electronic contact method during normal business hours.

Maintains exemptions from the fifteen-minute requirement for acts beyond the agency's control, including natural disasters, unauthorized third-party acts, operational interruptions, government action, and regularly scheduled maintenance.

Preserves existing protections requiring proper identification for freeze requests, unique PIN/password provision, written confirmation of freeze placement, and prohibition on fees for freeze placement, removal, or temporary lifting.
