Grants Arizona state employees six weeks of paid leave for the birth of a child or placement of a child through foster care or adoption.

Applies to employees subject to Title 41, Chapter 4, Article 4 or those exempt under specific statutory provisions in section 41-742.

Employees continue to receive their regular salary or compensation during the family leave period.

Employees do not accrue annual leave or sick leave during the period of family leave.

Requires the Director of the Department of Administration to establish procedures for eligible employees to receive the compensation.
