HB 2519 Summary

• Increases the maximum number of physician assistants that a supervising physician can supervise simultaneously from four to six.

• Requires supervising physicians to develop a system for recording and reviewing all instances where physician assistants prescribe Schedule II or Schedule III controlled substances.

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes § 32-2533 regarding supervising physician responsibilities for physician assistants.
