Establishes a dam safety study committee with eight members including four legislative representatives (two House, two Senate), two county flood control district representatives, and the Director of Water Resources.

Committee members must be from different political parties where applicable and are designated by the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate, with two cochairpersons designated from the legislative appointees.

Committee shall investigate the status, safety, age, and maintenance needs of dams in Arizona as defined in section 45-1201 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.

Committee must submit findings and recommendations to the Governor, Speaker of the House, President of the Senate, and Secretary of State by December 31, 2019.

Committee authority expires and the section is repealed effective June 30, 2020.
