Superintendent of public instruction shall establish a school funding task force within the department of education to review and modernize the current school funding formula.

Task force shall examine modern education technology, school capital, transportation, online instruction, student population needs, efficient resource delivery methods, and costs for students with special needs including those with incarcerated parents, in foster care, and those requiring psychological support.

Task force must submit a report with findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the governor, president of the senate, speaker of the house of representatives, and secretary of state on or before September 15, 2021.

Section repeals on September 30, 2021.
