AZ HCR2013

Proposes to repeal Article XIX of the Arizona Constitution, which previously addressed the office of mine inspector under Propositions 101 and 107 from the November 3, 1992 election.

Establishes a new Article XIX allowing the Governor to appoint a State Mine Inspector with advice and consent of the Senate, with the inspector serving at the Governor's pleasure.

Requires the legislature to enact laws prescribing the qualifications and duties of the State Mine Inspector.

Requires the legislature to enact laws regulating mine operation and equipment to ensure the health and safety of mine workers.

Directs the Secretary of State to submit the proposition to voters at the next general election under Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
