Arizona Legislature formally applies to Congress under Article V of the U.S. Constitution to call a convention for proposing a constitutional amendment limiting congressional terms.

The application seeks to limit the number of terms a person may serve as a U.S. House Representative and U.S. Senator.

Arizona's application combines with applications from other states and counts toward the two-thirds of states required to trigger Congress to call a constitutional convention on this subject.

This resolution constitutes a continuing application that remains in effect until legislatures of at least two-thirds of all states have made similar applications on term limits.

The Arizona Secretary of State shall transmit copies to the U.S. President, Congress members, House and Senate leadership, and presiding officers of all state legislatures.
