AZ SB1020

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-350 regarding investigations of immoral or unprofessional conduct by school employees.

Expands the entities to which the Department of Education may provide investigation information about certificate holders to include school districts where the person has applied for employment and third-party contractors providing educators.

Permits the Department of Education to share investigation records with agencies that receive applications from certificate holders for certificates or licenses or that are conducting related investigations.

Requires that all information and records received by schools or districts under this section be used for employment purposes only and remain confidential and not public records.

Authorizes Department of Education investigators to access criminal history records from law enforcement agencies for investigative purposes.
