AZ SB1023

Authorizes the Department of Administration to place a Lees Ferry bell monument in the governmental mall pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes section 41-1363.

Requires the procedures prescribed in section 41-1363, subsection B to be followed for monument placement.

Prohibits use of public monies for monument costs; all fund-raising and contracts for design and construction are solely the responsibility of proponents, and the state cannot facilitate fund-raising or establish a state fund.

The authorization expires and is repealed effective September 30, 2022.
