Adds Article 12 to Title 12, Chapter 2 of Arizona Revised Statutes, establishing a framework for certified court security officers.

Court security officers must be judicial branch employees and certified by the Arizona Supreme Court to ensure safety of judicial employees and facilities.

Certified officers may detain persons on court premises with reasonable cause, refuse weapons or unlawful materials, respond to threats and emergencies, and receive threat information from law enforcement agencies.

Court security officers are explicitly excluded from enrollment in state retirement plans under Title 38, Chapter 5 solely due to their employment as security officers.
