SB 1072 Summary

• Amends voting center provisions to require electors to present identification as prescribed in section 16-579 before receiving a ballot at voting centers or on-site early voting locations.

• Allows county recorders to establish on-site early voting locations at their offices beginning the same day early ballots are sent out, and permits establishment of additional early voting locations throughout the county.

• Permits county recorders or election officials to allow qualified electors to update voter registration information at on-site early voting locations, notwithstanding standard identification requirements.

• Applies identification requirements to all on-site early voting locations and other early voting locations established by county recorders or election officials.
