Senate Bill 1111 - State Seal of Arts Proficiency Program

• Establishes a state seal of arts proficiency program administered by the superintendent of public instruction to recognize high school graduates who attain proficiency in the arts.

• Requires the state seal to be affixed to diplomas and noted on transcripts of eligible students by participating school districts and charter schools.

• Participation in the program is voluntary for school districts and charter schools.

• The state board of education, in collaboration with the department of education and arts education experts, shall adopt minimum requirements and rules for the program.

• The program automatically terminates on July 1, 2029 pursuant to the sunset review process in section 41-3102.
