SB1113 - Insurance Information Practices

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 20-2104 to modify notice requirements for insurance institutions and producers regarding information practices.

• Allows insurance institutions or producers to forgo annual notices at policy renewal if they comply with information disclosure requirements and have not changed their privacy policies since the customer's last notification.

• Allows similar exemptions for policy reinstatement or benefit change notices if the institution meets disclosure requirements and has not changed privacy practices.

• Expands exceptions from notice requirements to include policyholders with invalid addresses or those with no contact for 12 consecutive months (other than annual privacy notices or legally required materials).

• Permits use of abbreviated notice forms that inform applicants of privacy practices and offer full notice upon request, rather than always providing complete disclosure documents.
