• Requires employers with 50+ employees in Arizona to grant employees up to 16 hours of unpaid leave per school year (maximum 4 hours per day) to attend school conferences or activities for their child.

• Employees must exhaust all vacation, personal, and compensatory leave before using school conference leave and must have worked for the employer for at least 6 consecutive months.

• Employees must provide at least 7 days written notice for regular conferences or 24 hours notice for emergencies, and must coordinate timing with employers to avoid operational disruption.

• Schools are required to offer regularly scheduled conferences and activities during both regular school hours and evening hours, and must provide attendance verification if requested.

• Employers cannot grant the leave if more than 5% of their workforce would be absent simultaneously, and the leave is unpaid unless an employer voluntarily provides compensation.
