AZ SB1350

Requires all certificated teachers and administrators employed by school districts or charter schools to complete civics education training by August 1, 2020.

Training completion requires correctly answering at least 60 of 100 questions on a test identical to the civics portion of the U.S. citizenship and immigration services naturalization test.

Authorizes the state board of education to enter into intergovernmental agreements or contracts for administering and evaluating the civics test, with fees specified in the agreement.

Does not apply to noncertificated school employees.
