Replaces gendered terminology "husband and wife" throughout Arizona Revised Statutes with gender-neutral terms such as "spouse," "married couple," and "spouses" to apply uniformly to all marriages regardless of the sex of the parties involved.

Amends 56 sections across multiple Arizona statutes including family law, probate, property rights, tax code, vital records, and workers' compensation to reflect inclusive language.

Removes language that assumed or referenced only opposite-sex marriages, including references to "husband or wife" in provisions governing community property, joint tenancy, adoption, inheritance, and spousal privileges.

Deletes former section 25-101(C) which prohibited same-sex marriage, as this restriction is no longer legally valid following federal court decisions.

Directs state agencies, boards, commissions, departments, and other administrative units to make corresponding changes to their administrative rules to align with the statutory language updates.
