AZ SB1400

Creates a teachers workforce database by requiring the Arizona Department of Education to collect designated database information from applicants for initial or renewal teacher certification beginning January 2, 2021.

Authorizes the department to adopt policies prescribing what designated database information will be collected for the database.

Protects personally identifiable information collected under this section by classifying it as confidential and exempting it from public records requirements under Arizona Revised Statutes Title 39, Chapter 1, Article 2.

Defines "designated database information" as information collected by the department under this section, excluding identification materials and information required to determine certification qualifications.
