Petition signature requirements vary based on proximity to existing schools and their letter grades: 30 signatures for parents near A-rated schools, 20 signatures for B-rated schools, or 10 signatures for C-rated or lower schools.

All petition signers must reside more than four miles from the referenced school district school to qualify.

Makes minor technical corrections to existing charter school law language regarding application submissions and charter renewal procedures.
