AZ SB1418

Adds new subsection K to section 15-701 providing that schools are not required to report or count a transfer student's failure to meet third or eighth grade promotion competency requirements unless the student continues to fail those requirements one year after the initial failure.

Adds new subsection L to section 15-701.01 providing that schools are not required to report or count a transfer student's failure to meet high school graduation requirements unless the student continues to fail those requirements one year after the initial failure.

Allows transfer students a grace period of one year to meet competency and graduation requirements before their performance is officially recorded and reported by the receiving school.
