AZ SB1444

Removes the Arizona Outdoor Recreation Coordinating Commission's authority to examine applications, determine funding amounts, and allocate monies from the state lake improvement fund; transfers these responsibilities to individual counties.

Requires the Arizona State Parks Board to separately account for monies collected in each county and distribute them quarterly back to the respective counties that collected them.

Authorizes counties to use distributed lake improvement fund monies for staff support, public boating facilities, infrastructure projects, and watercraft on waters where gasoline-powered boats are allowed.

Allows counties or the State Parks Board to implement projects through intergovernmental agreements with cities, towns, the Game and Fish Commission, and other entities.

Removes references to state lake improvement fund from the Arizona Outdoor Recreation Coordinating Commission's duties regarding budget review and project funding decisions.
