AZ SCR1004

Proposes an amendment to Article VII, Section 6 of the Arizona Constitution relating to the residency status of military personnel stationed in the state.

Replaces outdated language ("soldier, seaman, or marine, in the army or navy" and "his") with the modern term "military personnel" to reflect current military structure and gender-neutral language.

Maintains the constitutional principle that military personnel stationed at military or naval installations within Arizona shall not be deemed residents of the state based on such stationing.

Requires submission of the proposed amendment to Arizona voters at the next general election as provided under Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
