Ratifies the Equal Rights Amendment proposed by Congress on March 22, 1972, which guarantees equality of rights under the law regardless of sex.

Adopts the text of House Joint Resolution 208, which specifies that Congress has enforcement power and the amendment takes effect two years after ratification.

Requires the Arizona Secretary of State to transmit a copy of the resolution to the President of the U.S. Senate and Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Proposes that the amendment becomes valid as part of the Constitution when ratified by three-fourths of the states within seven years of Congressional submission.
