Proclaims February 2-8, 2019 as Chicanx History Week in Arizona to commemorate the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo signed on February 2, 1848.

Acknowledges that people of Mexican origin and descent have significantly contributed to Arizona and the nation's economy, development, and growth across arts, business, media, industry, agriculture, education, and society.

Recognizes the historical hardships faced by early Mexican-Americans, including loss of land and property despite treaty guarantees, suppression of language and culture, and denial of employment, education, and political representation rights.

Honors the Chicanx generation as a distinct identity resulting from a unique confluence of histories, cultures, languages, and traditions that emerged from the 1960s-1970s Chicanx Movement's efforts to preserve cultural identity against pressure to assimilate.

Extends recognition and tribute to Mexican-Americans whose citizenship status changed from Mexican to American under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo terms.
