School districts must comply with the same procurement laws and procedures that apply to charter schools beginning in the 2020-2021 school year.

The state board of education must modify its rules adopted pursuant to section 15-213 on or before July 1, 2022 to comply with the new procurement requirement.

The auditor general must modify the uniform system of financial records on or before July 1, 2022 to align with the new procurement procedures.

Legislative council staff shall prepare conforming legislation for the fifty-fifth legislature, first regular session to update Arizona Revised Statutes in accordance with this act.
