AZ HB2020

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-1626 to require the Arizona Board of Regents to base resident tuition and fees on the actual cost of educating students, including maintenance, operations, and capital costs.

Prohibits the board from considering a student's ability to pay when setting resident tuition and fees.

Requires the legislature to calculate and deduct the revenue difference from higher nonresident tuition rates charged to Arizona high school graduates who do not qualify for in-state tuition from the board's next fiscal year appropriation.

Makes technical corrections to existing language regarding board powers, including changing "vice-presidents" to "vice presidents" and "shall" to "does" in various sections.
