Arizona Board of Regents and community college districts must provide tuition and fee waivers to spouses and children of honorably discharged veterans who served more than 180 days on active duty during a declared national emergency, entered service in Arizona, and declared Arizona as home of record.

Tuition and fee waivers extended to spouses and children of currently active-duty service members who served more than 180 days during a declared national emergency and meet Arizona residency requirements.

Tuition and fee waivers provided to spouses and children of National Guard or reserve members honorably discharged after deployment of more than 120 days in designated war zones, or currently serving members with such deployment experience.

Veterans with a disability rating of 70 percent or more from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs may receive personal tuition and fee waivers, but their spouses and children are then ineligible for benefits under other provisions.

Scholarships limited to 150 cumulative credit hours; recipients must be classified as Arizona residents; benefits cannot duplicate federal educational assistance that covers the same costs; applicants in default on education loans are ineligible.
