AZ HB2119

Requires accredited public high schools in Arizona to accept transfer credits from students who were previously enrolled in other accredited public high schools if an in-person proctored final exam accounts for a significant portion of the student's grade in the course.

Mandates that accepting schools assign core credits as core credits and elective credits as elective credits from the transferring school, and prohibits schools from requiring additional examinations or prerequisite tests for accepted transfer credits.

Defines "accredited public high school" as a school accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and includes Arizona online instruction in the definition.

Amends existing charter school and school district transfer credit provisions to include an exception stating these entities must comply with the new transfer credit requirements in section 15-120.01.
