Prohibits placement, maintenance, or use of trail cameras or similar devices from August 1 through December 31 each year.

Extends the prohibition period (June 30 through December 31) for trail cameras capable of transmitting images, videos, or location data of wildlife.

Prohibits trail cameras at any time if they prevent wildlife from accessing water sources or alter how wildlife accesses water.

Exempts government employees and agents acting within official duties, private property use with landowner permission, and livestock monitoring with valid state permits.

Defines "trail camera or similar device" as any non-handheld device that captures images or location data using heat or motion activation.
