HB 2324 Summary

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 13-3101 to add bump-fire devices and similar firearm acceleration devices to the definition of "prohibited weapons."

• Prohibits possession of trigger cranks, bump-fire devices, or any part or accessory designed to accelerate the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle without converting it into a fully automatic machine gun.

• Defines the prohibited devices by reference to federal law definitions of "machine gun" (26 U.S. Code Section 5845(b)) and "semiautomatic rifle" (18 U.S. Code Section 921(a)(28)).

• Maintains exemption for firearms and devices possessed, manufactured, or transferred in compliance with federal law.
