HB 2337 Summary

• Repeals Arizona Revised Statutes section 23-1302, which protects employees' right to refrain from joining labor organizations.

• Changes the article heading of Title 23, Chapter 8, Article 1 from "RIGHT TO WORK" to "GENERAL PROVISIONS."

• Removes protection for employees exercising free choice with respect to nonmembership in labor organizations as a basis for wrongful termination claims under section 23-1501(c)(vi).

• Becomes effective only if Arizona voters approve repeal of Article XXV of the Arizona Constitution (the right-to-work provision) at the next general election.
