Career technical education districts (CTEDs) are excluded from receiving letter grade assignments under Arizona's school accountability system outlined in section 15-241.

CTEDs remain included in the department of education's annual achievement profiles but without the A-F letter grade classification system applied to traditional schools and districts.

The amendment removes language requiring CTEDs to be included in the letter grade classification system and removes reference to Carl D. Perkins vocational education act criteria as the sole basis for CTED performance evaluation.

CTEDs continue to be evaluated on performance indicators including graduation rates, program completion rates, assessment performance, and postgraduation employment and enrollment rates.

CTEDs remain subject to performance audits by the auditor general and must submit annual reports to the governor and legislature with enrollment, program, and cost data.
