Requires charter school audits to include a review of the charter school's annual financial report.

Charter schools must comply with the same financial and electronic data submission requirements as school districts, including the uniform system of financial records and audit requirements.

Charter school sponsors must submit annual reports to the auditor general by October 1, detailing the number of authorized charters, academic and financial performance metrics, new approvals and closures, and their application and renewal processes.

The auditor general shall review submitted reports and may report significant noncompliance to state leadership, with the legislature potentially considering revocation of the sponsor's authority if reports are not submitted by December 31.
