• Converts outstanding monetary obligations to criminal restitution orders when an undesignated offense is designated as a misdemeanor.

• Treats undesignated offenses as Class 1 misdemeanors for purposes of chapters 7, 8, and 9 of Arizona law.

• Allows both the defendant and the state to petition the court to designate an undesignated offense as either a misdemeanor or felony before final court designation.
